Good news from the Queer East Film Festival in London. They are back online in the coming weeks for a series of virtual screenings that will be available throughout the UK. On 31st March, the International Transgender Day of Visibility, they kicked off by teaming up with Focus Hong Kong Film Festival to screen Tracey, an award-winning transgender drama from Hong Kong. The event is now available online until 6th April. Written and directed by Jun Li and starring Philip Keung as the titular protagonist, 51-year-old married man, and father whose craving for feminization increases, leading him to transition from male to female both mentally and physically. A phone call about an old classmate’s death triggers him to look back on his past and the pained wish for a different past that may have changed his future.
