Even though Queerguru’s London Team of 4 give us some excellent coverage of of what is happening in the UK there are still quintessential Brit queer things we yearn for back here in the US. Right now for us it’s the sheer diversity of class that still pervades in society and culture,

At one end (the top?) there is the ultra glamorous eternally 39 Miss Hope Springs who suddenly left a Las Vegas Chorus line some years back(!) to head back to the UK to entertain the swell high-society audiences of London’s West End. The British chat show host Jonathan Ross summed Miss Hope Springs up so succinctly with “The greatest star that never was sings the greatest hits that never were…Unmissable!‘”

There has never been a time when we needed “Hope” as much as we do right now, so she will be back at Zeidel revisiting her lost 1971 Granada TV special Christmas Agogo! In this hysterical show. You’ll hear “Santa is a Woman”, “Bagels” and many more festive numbers from what is to this day considered an unaired masterpiece. Check out this clip .
