Jonathan Bailey & Taron Egerton together in ‘COCK’

Mike Barlett’s award-winning play COCK is about to get a star-studded revival in London’s Ambassadors Theatre.   It’s the story of John, a gay man who feels torn after meeting and falling in love with a woman.  It all happens after he decides to take a break from his boyfriend of 7 years when he meets a  woman to who he loses his heterosexual virginity too.

The situation is not helped at all when he tells the boyfriend that although he still loves him, sex is better with the woman.  Which goes down like a house on fire.  What’s next then? Will his two suitors be prepared to fight it out over him?

The new production of this play that explores the impact of changing relationships and sexual fluidity stars Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton) as John and Taron Egerton (Rocketman) as the Boyfriend plus Jade Anouka and Phil Daniels.  It’s directed by Marianne Elliot who recently helmed an award-winning gender-swapped revival of Company.

N.B. Th original production in 2009 won an Olivier Award in London BUT was banned in Cyprus because of its gay content ……
