J Lo supports her ‘nibling’s’ transitioning

It’s always so much more heartwarming when any celebrity  actually gets involved in good cause than simply just write a big fat check (although that is also always appreciated).  Even more so when it’s a matter that affects them , or a close family member, personally.

This weekend Jennifer Lopez took to Instagram to share a short clip of a documentary another her trans nephew Brendon.  Ms Lopez was way ahead of us referring to Brendon correctly as her nibling is the gender-neutral term for a niece or nephew,

This very moving short film Draw with Me  tells of how Brendon used art as an outlet when experiencing coming to terms with being trans . Brendon is the child of Lopez’s sister and brother-in-law, Leslie Lopez and Rob Scholl and the parents bravely admitted that they didn’t take Brendon’s situation seriously until an attempted suicide attempt.

Bravo to JLo for promoting this story as she explained The film is important and timely in its story and message and can have a huge impact on those of us who watch and experience what Brendon and their family is going through in this time of acceptance and admission,”
