Hunter Biden Says Everyone in D.C. Knows There’s a “Closeted Gay Mafia” of Republicans

During the I’ve Had It segment, the topic turned to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, whom Welch said they call “Little Moses Mike ‘Grindr’ Johnson” — a name that most likely references viral TikTok videos in which a person who claimed to have screenshots of Johnson’s Grindr account threatened to leak them as the speaker stalled on swearing in Arizona Democratic Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva in 2025. (Those claims were never substantiated.)

Biden then went on to talk about Johnson’s relationship with pornography, citing the politician’s own remarks. In 2023, a resurfaced clip showed Johnson admitting that he and his then-teenage son monitor each other’s porn intake. Per the New Republic, Johnson subscribed to a third-party software called Covenant Eyes that shared a porn-watching habit report with an “accountability partner,” which was Johnson’s son.

Following their discussion of GOP porn habits, Biden, who has enjoyed a renaissance of cultural interest given his recent ascent as king of Owning the GOP on social media, laid into what he deemed the “biggest problem in America.” Of the many many woes in America ripe for the choosing, Biden said that our biggest issue wasn’t “oligarchy,” but “closetocracy,” or the rule of angry, closeted gay men.

“Everybody knows there is this closeted gay mafia, largely Republican, that exists in Washington, D.C., and everybody knows every single one of them, who is gay,” Biden said. “The only reason that is relevant is that I believe that internal conflict creates so much vitriol inside a person that they take it out on the rest of the world, and they do.”

He continued, “So what they do is… their whole lives they’ve been closeted and so you have this black ball inside yourself, this like blackened heart about the fact that you can’t be who you want to be, so you take it out on everyone else. And these men, largely men, have done exactly that, and everybody knows who they are.”

Following Biden’s naming of the problem, Welch went on to name late senator (and Trump loyalist) Lindsey Graham as an alleged example of what her guest was talking about. Though Graham had never been out, and consistently denied that he was gay, he had been the subject of rumors regarding his sexuality for years. In fact, Trump sycophant Laura Loomer even testified in 2025 that Graham was gay and closeted, and that his sexuality had been an open secret among the current administration.

Following Graham’s death earlier this month, author Jesse James Rose wrote a viral post on Instagram about her alleged experiences with Graham prior to her gender transition, claiming that when she was a “twinky pre-transition college student,” the South Carolina senator paid her to “do unspeakable things to him in a hotel room while he wore red lingerie.”

I’ve Had It has evolved from its earliest iteration to become a favorite among progressive political podcasts. The hosts, who previously appeared on Bravo’s reality show Sweet Home Oklahoma, have catapulted to fame for not only lambasting the GOP but also holding Democratic feet to the flames, calling out complacency among the party while espousing leftist values.
