When the email from HULU landed in my inbox,  I simply could not believe my luck.  There it said in black and while ‘SPEND A NIGHT WITH MATTEO LANE‘.  So there is a GOD after all.  And then if it wasn’t enough, it promised an ‘al dente special.’   Of course, it didn’t take me long to realise that  Hulu had also sent this to quite a several hundreds of guys (and maybe a few girls too) as the so-called ‘Night’ was the actual premiere of Matteo’s new Stand Up Special.

39-year-old Matteo is not just a very quick-witted, hilariously funny stand-up comic, actor and singer who is regular on Late Night TV and at some of the best NY Comedy Clubs, but he is also an activist for our community. He was recognized by The Advocate as one of the “LGBT Icons, Innovators, and Disruptors” for his work in stand-up comedy.  

Actually it turned out that there was no way Matteo would have singled me out for attention, as he has 1.7M followers on Instagram, 1.6M followers on TikTok, and 1.1M subscribers on YouTube.  Plus, two years ago, he married his boyfriend.
