HBO sure knew what they were doing when they released just the first two episodes of  HEATED  RIVALRY, as it is impossible not to be totally hooked as the credits roll.  This Canadian sports romance television series, created, written and directed by Jacob Tierney for Crave   is so perfect …. not just because of all the steamy scenes…but for the passionate love story between a (very) hot Russian Ice Hockey player and an equally hot Canadian one.  It all makes for such compulsive viewing.

Based on a novel series by Rachel Read,  it follows two rival professional hockey players, Canadian Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Russian Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie), whose on-ice animosity conceals a passionate, secret romance. Kudos to whoever did the casting, as the two talented young actors have such an electric  on-screen chemistry all of their scenes really sizzle ….. even the rare ones where they are not in bed

Those first two episodes focused on the blossoming sexual situation between Shane and Ilya, but fans in the know are wondering whether Heated Rivalry episode 3 will include more details on the relationship between supporting characters Scott Hunter (François Arnaud) and Kip Grady (Robbie G.k.). Those who have read the books have theories about what could come up next in episode 3.

It hits our screens on December 5th. BUT sad news for QG readers in the UK, as there is still no news about when it will be released there.  Maybe write to HBO to bitch!
