When the Grindr Press Release landed on Queerguru’s News Editor’s desk, talking about ‘original content’ on their website, we knew it must be something more than their hook-up pages.  We have called them many things in the past, reading the ‘personal’ ads, you will be hard pressed to find anything there. Grindr, bills itself as the world’s largest social networking app for gay, bi, trans, and queer people, which the whole world knows is a very polite expression for hookups….ask anyone in your circle about how many ‘friends’ they have made this way!  LOL

But now that may change as they are  launching a fresh new content hub called “Grindr Presents.” This innovative space is not a separate app or external platform but lives right inside the Grindr app itself, giving users direct access to a treasure trove of uncensored, original videos, music drops, editorial pieces, and more — all curated with the LGBTQ+ community front and center.  (Their words, and not ours….)

The content lineup on Grindr Presents will be as diverse and vibrant as the community itself. From the hilarious and brutally honest “Who’s the Ahole?”** series hosted by RuPaul’s Drag Race icon Katya, to exclusive behind-the-scenes footage featuring pop sensation Troye Sivan on tour, the hub  promises to deliver everything from candid conversations to curated playlists and cultural editorial pieces. Grindr says it plans to offer  users raw, unfiltered access to queer storytelling that refuses to be sanitized or censored.
