Out-gay singer Greg Gould, a runner-up on Australia’s Got Talent in 2013, was recently dumped by his Record label for being ‘too gay’. They went as far as to say ‘aren’t we done with the gay equality thing?’ This is so-called liberal homophobia of the worse kind. But now 28 year old Gould is independent and he is free to make the music and art that he believes …. and boy, is it powerful stuff.
Within hours of releasing this stunning new video it went viral, clocking up over 4.25 million hits. Based on actual real events that happened to Gould and to people he knows. it makes for very tough, but totally necessary viewing. He is quoted as saying ‘It was extremely emotional both for myself, the crew filming and the actors, many of them in fact really struggled on set because it was so far from their beliefs to play these aggressively homophobic characters.’
