56 year old Grayson Perry CBE RA is a Turner Award winning artist who in 2008 was ranked number 32 in The Telegraph’s list of the “100 most powerful people in British culture“. Perry has also carved himself out quite career on British TV as a commentator on not only the society’s class divides but also on a subject that is very dear to him, and one that has made him even more famous : cross dressing. In fact Perry donned women’s clothes when he went to Buckingham Place to receive his prestigious CBE for Services to Art from Prince Charles.
Now in UK Channel 4’s new short-form TV series Perry, discusses his own gender identity and meeting people from the trans and cross-dressing communities, who’ve taken risks to be themselves.
