FRESH MEAT PRODUCTIONS perform next at The Bay Area International Deaf Festival

We always love following FRESH MEAT PRODUCTIONS dance group not just because we love dance but because they were founded to invest in the creative expression and cultural leadership of trans, gender-nonconforming, and allied communities. Led by Emmy Award-winning trans choreographer, dancer, writer, educator, and activist  Sean Dosey, who formed the group back in 2002 in the Bay Area to promote the artistic development of emerging and established transgender artists, create new dialogue, and build community.

It’s not just the work they perform that is exemplary, but also the audiences they play to. Like their next engagement, which is at  The Bay Area International Deaf Festival (14th anniversary ) on Aug 14th-15th. The Festival’s incredible lineup of Bay Area artists, and artists from Washington DC, South America, New York, and more! This annual event is produced by Urban Jazz Dance company that consists of performances and workshops that highlight the important contributions that Deaf and Hard of Hearing (HoH) artists make to our community.
