First look at THE SUPER MODELS a new mini-series on Apple TV

In 2012 photographer/filmmaker Timothy Greenfield-Sanders’ documentary “About Face: Supermodels Then and Now” was a compelling insight into the elite few who had made it to the top, of their field.  This iconic group included Isabella RosselliniChristie Brinkley, Marisa Berenson, Pat Cleveland, Beverley Johnson, Carmen Dell ’Orefice, Paulina Porizkova, Bethann Hardison, Jerry Hall, and Christy Turlington among others.  You can read Queerguru’s full review HERE and stream the documentary on Amazon Prime and Hulu

Now over 10 years later a new Apple TV series called THE SUPER MODELS spotlights the next generation that includes Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, and once again Christy Turlington. Directed by Academy Award winner Roger Ross Williams and Larissa Bills, the four-part series enjoys unprecedented access to the models and takes viewers behind the camera and beyond the catwalk, revealing how they dominated the elite modeling world while illuminating a bond that single-handedly shifted the power dynamic of an entire industry

“The Super Models” travels back to the 1980s, when four women from different corners of the world united in New York.  Their prestige was so extraordinary that it enabled the four to supersede the brands they showcased, making the names Naomi, Cindy, Linda, and Christy as prominent as the designers who styled them. Today, the four supermodels remain on the frontlines of culture through activism, philanthropy and business prowess.

Starts September 20th in Apple TV
