Belgian photographer Maglau’s long awaited book Fetish Ballad has just been published and queerguru takes a look at some of the stunning work from this exceptionally talented artist.  The book is the result of Maglau visiting several Fetish Parties in Europe and Japan and with the permission of the participants he just pointed his camera and took these extraordinary un-posed pictures which show the participants totally at ease.

In a forward to the book that the Belgian philosopher Véronique Bergen has titled Mutant Bodies in the Night, she writes : Fetish ballad is a night club life movie of savage, regressive, futuristic urges, “deviant” in that they do not follow the usual social norms. Fetish ballad invites us into a world of minority self-constructions.
