It’s totally true everybody did love Doris far more than we ever loved Raymond. The SAG Award and 5 time Emmy Award winning veteran actress Doris Roberts who passed away on April 17th at the ripe old age of 90 was one of those favorite character actors that everyone really loved even when she played a meddlesome mother in TV’s long running sitcom.
Doris Roberts began her acting career in 1951 and was a Broadway star before she ever started working in television. in the 1970’s. With a seemingly endless resume of such a fine body of work …. some still in post-production and yet to be seen as she never ever stopped working …. everybody has their own particular memory of this outstanding performer. queerguru’s favorite one of her is in from a low-budget LGBT movie called All Over The Guy from 2001 when she had a small but crucial role, and she does in true Doris Roberts style, steal every scene ….. just like this one here.
