Country music is one genre that has very few openly gay performers. We could count just five : Chely Wright, Ty Herndon, Billy Gilman, Shane McAnally and Brandy Clark. We guess at a pinch you could include Steve Grand who’s viral video hit in 2014 ‘All American Boy‘ was a wee bit country too.
Anyway now there’s a new one to join their small ranks in the form of handsome singer/songwriter Cameron Hawthorn whose new heart-string-pulling video is his coming-out letter too.
“Dancing in the Living Room” is about love in its purest form. From a lesbian couple just moving in together, to an older pair dancing in their kitchen, the video progresses to finally show Hawthorn slowly dancing with his partner. It’s impossible not to moved by these two men very much in love as they slowly dance around the room.
