BRUNCH CLUB: an independent voice to exclusively platform the voices of trans + queer people of color

We’ve only just discovered the really fabulous BRUNCH CLUB Magazine. It was founded in 2017, under the mentorship and support of Hello Mr. magazine. and was created to exclusively platform the voices of trans + queer people of color who are highly under-valued + under-represented in media. While they realize that representation is not the definitive answer to this issue, they recognize it as an integral starting point for accessing spaces that will allow us to implement structural changes in society, politics and beyond. By allowing our community to do their own storytelling, they preserve our collective histories and continue to expand ideas on the possibilities of identity and shared liberation.

The third and latest issue, #QueerFutures is an exploration on the future of queer identity, but also on what the future of the world looks like when we center the ideas, philosophies + perspectives of trans + queer people of color.

This issue was created as a labor of love between two editors over a span of two years, beginning right before the global pandemic. #QueerFutures was made possible through the contributions of art, talent and labor from international collaborators, as well as the creative genius of designer Calvin Chin.

This project was and remains not for profit, but as a love letter reminding our trans + queer siblings that we can continue to create the worlds, we want to see by working alongside each other. At BRUNCH CLUB, they always have an appetite for more. Queer and Hungry
