It’s Art Basel Week in Miami Beach : the largest and most prestigious gathering of contemporary art in the world. With it’s myriad of a Satellite Shows and Art Happenings right across the city and Wynwood Art District too, we are totally spoilt for choice. Here then is the first of queerguru’s selections of ‘must-see’ Events that kicks off tomorrow November 29th.
A Queen Within : Adorned Archetypes is an extraordinary fashion installation curated by Serge Martynov and Sofia Hedman of Museea, which explores femininity and storytelling. The exhibition will feature extremely rare pieces from one of the world’s largest private collections of Alexander McQueen, as well as garments, photography, film, and artwork by Comme des Garçons, Alexander McQueen, Gucci, 69, Iris van Herpen, Vivienne Westwood, Charlie Le Mindu, Pyer Moss, Chalayan, Rick Owens, Gypsy Sport, Gianfranco Ferré and other designers known for their daring, remarkable work.
