If you have ever wondered what happens in Provincetown at this time of year now that the tourists have gone and the summer renters have left and the population dwindles to a few thousand residents, then here is your chance to find out. In the winter of 2011 a handful of artists, writers and actors gathered together to make a fictional webseries about a series of dastardly deeds that happened one very cold winter. They filmed most of it the following year and then set about the arduous and expensive task of post-production.
Now ‘Offseason’ has been picked up and is being screened by Amazon Prime for the rest of the world to see. If you are a regular visitor to town, you will spot an awful lot of familiar faces including those of Frank Vasello (of Relish Bakery) and his husband Nathan Butera who spearheaded this community enterprise.
It just goes to show that what goes on in P.Town does not stay in P.Town after all.
