The U.S. will finally get a chance to see the French historical TV drama series Versailles which tells the story of Louis XIV’s lavish, sex-fuelled court. It’s already been shown on British TV and met with some very vocal criticism which naturally only gets queerguru even more intrigued.
The Uk’s Daily Telegraph that has covered both the series and the outrage used some quite delicious headlines throughout June when the series was being aired there : ‘Versailles is ‘posh royal porn’: MPs and viewers lead furore over BBC’s steamy costume drama,’ : ‘ Versailles writer denies BBC’s new raunchy drama is dominated by sex,’ : ‘Welcome to Versailles, the BBC’s steamy new period drama set in the court of Louis XIV’ . Our favorite however has to be “Versailles: sex, intrigue and great hair!’
The series starts on October 1st in the US on the Ovation Channel : click here for a link on how to view it.
P.S. people cannot have been too outraged as they have already filmed a second series.
