Naked Attraction : Blind Date With Knobs On

There was a time when the gay community were always being condemned by (envious?) heterosexuals for our obsession at judging a man by his penis. It was the same era when British Television was considered the gold standard in quality programing.  Well the UK’s Channel 4 have manage to dispel both those myths with the launch of a new series that has the British media up in arms.

The cause for all this outrage is called Naked Attraction where participants are dragged along a whole screen of naked bodies with only the bottom and genitalia in view and they get to pick a mate.  The voiceover booms “These dates start where a good date often ends—naked.”  The fully dressed host Anna Richardson talks through the selection of 12 bodies with the contestant, and of course this very first part of the conversation is limited to the size of the matter, and if it is in fact the same as the feet.  Eventually the screens are are raised slowly so chests are exposed and then finally a glimpse of the face.

It’s less of a game show and more like a meat market, and certainly puts a new meaning to the words ‘reality tv’  as everything is as ‘real’ as nature intended. and the cameraman loves to pan in for close-ups.  The Broadcasters claim that the idea is to de-mystify public nudity, but no-one is buying that and claims its a cheap shot to get a ratings boost. And it’s not just men that are being flaunted, as the program has its fair share of vaginas on view too

Naked Attraction can only be viewed in the UK, but maybe this is something that the Republican Presidential Candidate will want to bring to US screens when is unemployed again in November.  After all he loves to boast of how big he is ‘down there’!
