You’ll want to be on Virgin Atlantic’s “virgin gay” flight next summer

Richard Branson’s VIRGIN ATLANTIC has always been our favorite queer airline of choice.  If not for the way that they have always been to the forefront of supporting our community’s rights but down to that fact that their comprehensive entertainment system ALWAYS includes an excellent selection of LGBT programming including indie gay movies.  When you have flown back and forth across the Pond as often as we have in the past two decades, you will know how very nice it is to made to feel truly welcome on board  every time.

Now next summer for Virgin is going gayer than ever with the launch of the UK’s first ‘Pride Flight’ between London and New York City  designed to celebrate World Pride 2019, which for the first time ever is being held in the United States in New York City.

The one-off flight will be hosted by Tituss Burgess – Broadway musical actor and star of the hit Netflix show Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt – and packed full of special guests and live performances to make it one memorable flight

Staffed entirely by LGBT+ pilots and cabin crew, the flight will be a true celebration of queer culture 38,000ft above the Atlantic.  It will feature a tonne of special on-board entertainment including on board DJ, Drag-Queen Bingo, Judy Garland singalong, inter-seat speed dating and special in-flight entertainment.

The flight departs from London Heathrow on Friday June 28th 2019, flying direct to New York City’s Newark airport with a flexible return date on offer.

You can buy a flight-only ticket from £480 by calling Virgin Atlantic on 0344 209 7777, or indulge in a full three-night package from £699 by calling Virgin Holidays on 0344 557 3859.
