Openly gay Brit Pop Idol winner Will Young is jumping into bed with gay filmmaker Chris Sweeney to make a brand new podcast series called Homo Sapiens that will be launched on 25th July on Itunes and all the usual streaming platforms.
Starting with an interview with journalist Owen Jones who
will talk about how he came out as gay, they promise that the weekly ‘in conversation’ series will feature interviews with a wide range of personalities discussing queer issues. Other guests will include Nigerian gay rights activist Bisi Alimi, talking about the battle against homophobia in Africa; TV screenwriter and producer Russell T Davies (Queer As F0lk) will meanwhile discuss the representation of gay people on television
