Lifetime TV has just released the trailer for Janet Jackson’s forthcoming two-night documentary of the story of her life “All For You.” The producers have promised lots of shade-throwing from (and about) the intensely private singer and actress.
Naturally, it covers all the dirt and fallout of “Nipplegate” when during her halftime Super Bowl XXXVIII performance in 2004 part of her breast was briefly exposed during a performance with fellow artist, Justin Timberlake. Jackson may have borne the brunt of the criticism but many fans rounded on Timberlake for his refusal to support her at the time.
When it comes to the subject of her brother Michael and controversy over child molestation allegations against him, Janet admits that the allegations against her famous brother affected her career. “Guilty by association,” she says. “Guess that’s what they call it, right?”
The release date for part one of Janet arrives on the 40th anniversary of Jackson’s 1982 self-titled debut album. The four-hour documentary has been in the works for five years, and includes never-before-seen footage from Jackson’s professional and personal life.
The first installment of the two-part film will air on Lifetime and A&E on January 28
