When 10,000 miles cannot keep you apart

So you may want to grab a box of Kleenex before you sit down and watch this totally charming video about young love that reminds you that heartfelt stories like these still happen in real life.

When Australian Jeremy Miles flew into Dubin, Ireland for a few days vacation this time last year, he met by chance a local lad Andrew McLaughlin and the two were immediately smitten with each other.  When it was time for Jeremy to leave, two days later Andrew just popped on the plane with him to Berlin so they continue their ‘date’ for a few more days.

They both thought that would be the end of it, but later in the summer Jeremy found himself back in Europe and in Andrew’s arms again, and so they decided to give long-distance dating a go.

In this video that Andrew made Jeremy as a surprise Valentines Day gift, he recounted that over the last 12 months. In that time they’ve ‘travelled to 14 different cities, 5 countries, spent 192 hours on a plane, 68 hours on a train and everything else in between, all just to see each other.

At the end, Jeremy reacts to seeing the video for the first time. “Every time we see each other, there’s a whirlwind of emotion, with ecstatic hello’s, but heart-wrenching goodbyes. We’ve been through it all 6 times now, and the separation never gets easier, but we can’t wait to do it all again. We’re both studying in university and spend our weekends saving so that we can travel to be with each other.”
