Should we be surprised at all that a Christian charity in the UK has chosen Christmas to sue the British Government for their (Christian?) support of Gay Pride. It’s not just what happened to all that ‘love thy neighbour’ bit that annoys us, but it’s the fact The Christian Institute has launched legal action against Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer in a bid to stop Civil Service officials taking part in Pride marches. The Institute’s claim is based on the fact that all these Officials are paid by TaxPayers …… EXCEPT in the UK, Christian Churches and Charities are EXEMPT FROM PAYING ALL TAXES
The charity says the “current practice of officially endorsing and funding participation during work time” while sporting “civil service pride” T-shirts and banners “breaches the law on civil service impartiality. There is no mention that they want to start paying taxes ….naturally
Our second ‘Christian Christmas Tale’ could qualify for anyone to get away with murder this holiday season. On a recent Easy Jet Flight an annoying young man with a guitar takes to the aisle along with a small chorus of other youngsters. They break into song and serenade those around them with a contemporary Christian hymn familiar to anyone who’s ever been at an Evangelical Church
The internet was full of comments but the very best came from U.S. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, a Muslim Somali-American who retweeted the video with the caption: “I think my family and I should have a prayer session next time I am on a plane. How do you think it will end?”
