Two new queer delights streaming on Netflix

Queerguru loves Netflix ….. BUT  …… they do have this annoying habit of promoting their 10 best movies of the week.  Or their own Original Programming.    As much as we may love/like most of that they have far more goodies that are so tucked away that if you are careful you could miss  them entirely,

Fortunately for us, Dan, Queerguru’s Videographer currently enjoying a winter break from filming, is extremely inquisitive.  ( That’s the polite word for it). But full credit to him, his latest two LGBTQ Netflix ‘discoveries’ are well worth sharing.

From ABC TV in Australia comes a very campy feel-good six-episode comedy Why Are You Like This?  This hysterically funny queer show follows friends Mia, Penny, and Austin their questionable modern-day moral codes in confronting the complex social issues of an outrage-driven world, leaving a path of destruction in their wake.

Favorite lines so far: Therapy is incredible Penny. When are you going again? Again? No, no, no. I’m cured.

Ride or Die is a queer Japanese psychological thriller film.  It the story of Rita who when she learns that her friend Nanae is suffering brutal domestic violence from her husband, decides to kill him.  After all, she has been in love with her since they were schoolmates, but will this be enough to have a happy ever after ending.  Watch it to find out.
