Turn Back Time to when LGBT literature was pulp fiction

 

In the week that queerguru is fully immersed in the Miami Book Fair which has some excellent LGBT programming  our coverage will follow next week), we take a look back at  the exploitative “literature” of the ’50s, ’60s and early ’70s.  At the time this ‘pulp fiction’ detailing the seedy underbelly of homosexual life which was cheap, trashy entertainment exclusively for gay men and bored housewives, was the bulk of what passed for gay literature then. Although often their covers were more entertaining than their plots.
