The REAL reason to watch BRIDGERTON on Netflix is THE MEN

There are quite a few reasons why the period drama series Bridgerton became one of Netflix’s most successful programs last year.  Produced by Shoda Rhimes (Greys Anatomy) and based on Julia Quinn‘s novels set in London’s high society o the Regency era, the series reached number one in 76 countries on Netflix.

Extravagant settings and with award-winning costumes and wigs, and beautifully filmed the show was a hit from day one.  On the eve of the announcement about Series 2, we can share with anyone foolishly enough to miss the premiere season the real reason for its success was THE MEN.

As well as the thirst-quenching Regé-Jean Page as Simon Bassett, The Duke of Hastings,  there is  the openly-gay Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton, Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton, Luke Thompson as Benedict Bridgerton and also Martins Imhangbe as the boxer Will Mondrich.  And they are all coming back in March 2022

PS When Jonathan Bailey is not all dolled up like an aristocrat he looks more like this …
