Thinking of traveling again now that the Lockdown is being lifted in some places around the globe?  Then add Osaka in Japan to your itinerary and you could check out  Osaka Castle, Sumiyoshi Taisha Grand Shrine, and Shitennō-ji, the oldest Buddhist temple in Japan. 

More important are the very engaging locals, like the Osaka Granny Idol Group who got together to make this English rap video to welcome the G20 summit a few years ago.  Osaka “obachan” (older women)  are known for being loud, witty, talkative, and very friendly. In the video they play on this stereotype, even offering candy they’re said to always carry with them. It is such a joyous  (and extremely camp)  routine and everytime we replay it the Queergruru office , it puts everyone in good mood.
