In New York this weekend? Then make tracks to the Off Broadway’s Triad Theater where queer composer-lyricist Jeffrey Schmelkin’s The Parts I Keep Inside:. will play two performances
Cabaret Scenes Magazine called The Parts I Keep Inside is a “complex and impressive new [musical]” and one that delves deep into the many intertwining storylines that make up each facet of the human mind and soul. The musical follows four characters that live inside the head of a music director who is attempting to find a sense of inner peace. In 2021, a song cycle version of the show played a sold-out performance at The Triad. This weekend’s performances will present a new 90-minute musical version.
The Parts I Keep Inside fosters the space for any audience to laugh, cry, and reflect on their own lives with the gentle comfort of knowing that they don’t have to go it alone
