One of the most highly-anticipated new series of the new year is “Fosse/Verdon,” starring Sam Rockwell as Bob Fosse and Michelle Williams as Gwen Verdon.
Based on FOSSE the biography written by Sam Wasson, this eight-part limited series tells the story of the singular romantic and creative partnership between the legendary 8 time Toy Winner choreographer Bob Fosse and his dancer/wife Gwen Verdon. Fosse was both an Oscar winning visionary filmmaker and one of theater’s most influential choreographers and directors, and he and Verdon changed the face of American entertainment – at a perilous cost.
Hamilton creator/star Lin-Manuel Miranda is one of the producers of FOSSE/VERDON an eight episode limited series which is currently being filmed in New York City ahead of its premiere on FX in April 2019
Joining Academy Award® winner Sam Rockwell and four-time Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams are series regulars Norbert Leo Butz as Paddy Chayefsky and Margaret Qualley as Ann Reinking.
