It’s just another day for arrests of ‘holier than thou’ upright men who were caught molesting children.
Nathan Brooks a 36-year-old Catholic Priest with the Diocese of Syracuse, NY has been charged with three ‘misdemeanors’ surrounding multiple occasions of sexual abuse. Back on August 22, Cortland County Sheriff’s received reports of allegations of sexual abuse by Brooks, that took place between 2019 and 2021.
“The investigation revealed that the defendant, Nathan Brooks, had subjected one victim to inappropriate sexual contact on multiple occasions over several years. The victim was known to Mr. Brooks,” said the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office. Brooks is due in Homer Town Court, on Tuesday, September 5th, and Cortland City Court on September 6th.
We couldn’t track any official response from the Syracuse Roman Catholic Diocese but in July this year they agreed to pay $100 million to sex abuse victims, as part of a bankruptcy settlement.
And on the same day, it was announced that 41 year-old Kevin Tomafsky, longtime Republican campaign operative, and former aide to Presidential candidate Gov Chris Christie, was charged with possession and creation of child pornography after he was caught with nearly 1K vile ‘child sex abuse materials
He’s also been charged with having paid to ‘engage in a sexual act’ with a six-year-old girl. The child’s father has also been charged
These two appear to be the tip of an iceberg of a growing trend of this atrocious and evil behavior ….. e.g. in May this year, a new Report identified that nearly 2,000 children in Illinois were sexually abused by Catholic clergy. It went on to name 451 Catholic clerics and religious brothers who abused the children between 1950 and 2019, far more than the church acknowledged before their review began.
This is not an issue we have given much coverage in Queerguru in the past but as part of the queer community in Florida constantly under attack with outrageous false accusations from our grand-standing Governor it’s good to set the record ‘straight.’ Whilst he’s focused on the ‘evils of drag queens’ the real facts are :
