Christian Dior was one of the greatest fashion designers of the last century. He was also gay but like fellow designer Cristobal Balenciaga, he hid his sexuality due to societal pressures of the era he lived.

Dior died of a heart attack just 10 years after at the age of 52, an event he may have had because he had already appointed a very young (gay) Yves Saint Laurent to take over the House of Dior
