THE DORIAN AWARDS …. the ones that Queerguru really respects

Although some people are still hanging on to see who gets handed an OSCAR this coming weekend, here at Queerguru we are celebrating THE DORIANS, the ONLY film awards we count on.   Of course, we could be a tad biased as these increasing prestigious awards are in the gift of G.A.L.E.C.A. The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics, which we are so very proud to belong to.

Unlike the Hollywood Foreign Press Association who hand out Golden Globes decided by their 90 members, GALECA now in its 12th year has 290 members in all—professional journalists and culture leaders—across the U.S., Canada, Australia, U.K., and beyond.

The categories of The Dorians are much more diverse than others and recognize the extraordinary contribution that the LGBTQIA community makes to the performing arts.
