Broadway’s Carols for a Cure 2023 is back with the 23rd recording that embodies the spirit of the season like nothing else can. Aside from all the good, it continues to do in the fight against AIDS, it just so happens to combine two of our Queerguru’s favorite music genres: Broadway and Christmas. Its approach of pairing the casts of Broadway musicals with classic carols and Christmas songs has not only been such a success with its followers and fans but has been able to boost the much-needed funds for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS,
The marrying up of each of the diverse Musical casts with either classic or new carols by Lynn Pinto & Andros Rodriguez has always been inspiring, and this year is no exception. It includes A Bronx Tale singing: “I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day; Chicago: “This Is The Night”; The Lion King: “Everyone’s a Kid at Christmas” and one of Queerguru;’s favorites the cast of Waitress: with their version of“I Wonder What You Got For Me”,
As always proceeds of the recording will go to Broadway’s incredible, dedicated nonprofit organization that helps individual people with serious illnesses such as AIDS and women’s health issues receive the health care and support they need.
This latest compilation will be released on December 1st 2023 , and previous years Carols For A Cure are
