During Pride month the Museum of Sex in N.Y. is hosting a series of Vogueing Tea Dances every Sunday in their rather fabulous Disco Bar. Celebrating the highly stylized global phenomenon of house dance originating in the late 1980s that arose from the Harlem Ballroom scene of the 60s, the extravaganza will bring together Voguers from many of the key Houses. Showcasing all style of the artform of Vogueing including Old-Way, New-Way, Runway, Posing , Pop-Dip-and Spin, Arms and all that comes with it.
Just to help get you in the mood the Bar currently has an Exhibit of Bill Bernstein photographs entitled Night Fever, New York Disco 1977-1979.
Sunday Vogueing Tea Party, Museum of Sex, 233rd 5th Ave NY, NY 4pm-8pm : Free.
