NY-based award-winning photographer STEVEN MENENDEZ has a brand new Exhibit opening at THE SOHO PROJECT SPACE in NY on Thursday 30th March 2023. Titled EARTH WORSHIP it is a stunning series of portraits and landscapes capturing the powerful imagery of the Earth and the male form in states of bliss in the majesty of Nature
Menendez said The subjects in the images often have their eyes closed, which is a reflection of ancient images and busts of the Buddha. In order to know one’s true nature and know heaven, one must close their eyes to worldly things and go within to cultivate the Divine. The images are meant to express the softer and intuitive side of male beauty that is in touch with both the yin and yang of their spiritual and physical expression.

Menendez has spent decades in pursuit of remote and wild landscapes and the photographs in the series were taken over the past few years from his travels to Greece, Hawaii, The Everglades, Fire Island, and more. In fact, anywhere he can escape from the ties of human society and its restraints to shed his clothes and restore and rejuvenate his spirit. Along with the great mystics, poets and painters, he feels that Nature is our greatest healer, teacher, and inspirational place.
