The first time we met Shann Treadwell was last summer in Ptown. He had finally given up his bar-tending gigs to focus full time on his art. He even went one step further and opened his own gallery on Commercial Street to exhibit his work, and that of fellow artists he started representing.
Shann is a photographer who mainly likes to take portraits: specifically collage portraiture of drag performers. He’ll take between 300 to 600 polaroids of each subject and then print them out to make a collage. In Ptown there is absolutely no shortage of models, and as it turns out, collectors too. Because despite all the prevailing dramas of the pandemic (!) the Gallery’s first year was an outstanding success.

So we returned for the Opening of his latest Show to check out his newest stunning collages. You don’t have to be physically here to admire his work as it is now all online ….. and can even be purchased that way too. Here are a few of our favorites and we’ll leave it to you to see if you can spot your favorite drag star.
