If you are a regular reader of QUEERGURU, you will be well aware that we are very passionate about indie Queer Cinema and LGBTQIA+ Film Festivals. Part of our main mission is to help these movies find the audiences they so deserve, whether big or small. To this end, back in 2021 we came across a brand new wee festival starting up in San Francisco (a city known to have a ‘few’ gay people!). They already had a very well-established Fest in the shape of FRAMELINE …..which we cover every year… but this new event was set up to extend the offer of queer films for both creators and audiences alike.
Totally unknown to us (until now) but QG were the only queer media that turned up back then to offer support to the new SF QUEER FILM FEST and we were really touched to receive this note this week
