Ryan Sampson stars in ‘Kevin’s Series of Unfortunate Events’ having its World Premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival

Ryan Sampson is one of those actors who never seem to be off Brit TV since he was 17 years old, but now at the ripe old age of 40, this queer talented performer is enjoying his moment in the sun. Earlier this year, he starred as Mr Collins in the period drama The Other Bennet Sister, based on Jane Austen‘s Pride and Prejudice

Now his latest role as one of the stars in  Kevin’s Series of Unfortunate Events, a new TV series that is about to have its World Premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival this week.

Kevin is a hopelessly earnest romantic whose optimism and failure as a serial dater are something that is observed by geography teacher Dave (Ryan Sampson), who follows Kevin’s dating disasters with equal parts concern and amusement.  This hilarious look at the perils of modern dating reminds us that sometimes the connection we are searching for has been right in front of us all along.

This could be Ryan Sampson’s lucky year either way.
