When queerguru went to school (!) a rugby strip was what we called the kits we donned to play this big butch (and very rough) game that was meant to make men of all us scrawny awkward teenagers. Nowadays however the term means something entirely different as it seems that every rugby team when they are not playing a match, are stripping off naked to make yet another charity calendar. Trust me, we are not complaining, we would have paid much more attention to the sport (or at least the locker rooms) if that happened in our day.
