An erotic queer romantic melodrama written and directed by Daniel Nolasco, it portrays a relationship that outlasts several decades , from a rural area to an urban one.
It is 1984, young black bearded Antonio (Lucas Drummond), lives in Catalao, Brazil, he is a lonely farmer who has cows and makes cheese. Young, attractive and curly-haired Marcelo (Liev Carlos) is a Honda biker on his way to Minas Gerais, when suddenly, from nowhere, an object crashes injuring him.
Antonio lives near the place of the accident and finds Marcelo lying unconscious on the road, takes him home to his bed, and takes care of him, cleaning the wounded man who lies there naked. Their connection is the story we watch.
There are fields, large crop pastures, a few farms, and the Sao Marcos River, a significant presence in the film where Antonio and Marcelo swim and romantically enjoy each other. There is also Samuel, the neighbor that watches them.
Marcelo´s wounds heal and time passes by, while providing idillic images from the landscape and their relationship. It comes the moment when Antonio closes the country house.
Older Antonio (Fernando Libonati) comes out from the river as a mature gray bearded good looking man. He moves to the city and becomes cold and distant, he lives in a comfortable apartment with nice art pieces an a big portrait of him and Marcelo from the past in the farm days. At the apartment there are also scene stealer Helga (Renata Carvalho) the help, and Eduardo (Igor Leoni) Antonio´s assistant. Marcelo doesnt show up (but by unanswered phone calls or a voice message) we learn he is no longer present.
Beautifully shot, there is a crochet blanket that worths the mention and visual poetry in serveral of the rural sequences; the move to the city brings a harsh scenery and in contrast, hazardous nighttime situations into the woods; all these provide context to a fragmented story the viewer has to guess and try to find out about the male lovers and the good things the title refers to.
