I Want Your Sex is the latest film from Gregg Araki, written by him and Karley Sciortino; it portrays, with mockery, the times we are living in while dealing with the younger generations’ aversion to sex, lampooning the art world and the limits of artistic permission.

Erika Tracy (Olivia Wilde) is a contemporary artist that the public (viewers included) loves or hates.  Her creative process may be called peculiar because at times it turns into an abusive practice. Seems she follows directions from her curator and art advisor for some of her actions, seeking to scandalize.

Erika´s assistant and human object is Elliot, 23 (Cooper Hoffman the son of the late Phillip Seymour Hoffman) in his first post-college job. We watch him in his kinky relationship with her employer, who is also an artist and a gallery director; the film evolves, bringing his fantasies alive through flashbacks mainly,  after two investigators interrogate him about what happened one night… in a scenario where the maxim “no corpse no crime” fits like a glove.

References to sexual activity, sometimes in a grotesque manner, are a constant from beginning to end of the film. Not for all tastes, the feature mixes live action with animation. 

There is an aftermath of  2 + 2 year periods to the story, as odd as the whole.
