HBO’s hot new series is a queer Polish drama  called PROUD and focuses on Filip Raczyński (Ignacy Liss) a male model in his late 20’s who we meet wandering the back rooms of a club full of naked men. He’s currently crashing at his sisters’ apartment  but that doesn’t stop him bringing four of the guys from the club home with him.  However when his sister dies he is left caring for his one year old niece, the drama takes on a totally different track, and becomes a social commentary about the difficulty of being a gay father in Poland. 

What makes it works so well is ts very  convincing ensemble and together all makes for  a very compelling unmissable drama and the end of episode three we are so in Filips corner – even though he makes a ton more mistakes that we will happily forgive.
