Even before The Orange Man moved into The White House, queer sites like ours have been censored by the anonymous homophobes who now run Social Media
Last year, the Queerguru YouTube account was taken down and banned overnight without warning. We lost over 2000 interviews/films and over 6000 followers immediately! Our Site is unashamedly queer, BUT we never include anything that could be considered erotic/exotic, yet somehow we still gave offense to the homophobes.
Then two months ago Facebook joined in and told us we had broken their decency rules, but failed to explain how exactly, but until the end of November, we are not allowed to solicit new followers (we have some 7IK right now) AND if we ‘misbehave’ again’ (?) we would be banned completely.
We regularly swap information with other Queer sites, so we know we are not alone, so we have decided that we will need to ‘reluctantly’ self-censor our SM content from now on.
