When you live (or just visit) Provincetown the queer paradise at the tip of Cape Cod, there is no such thing as having TOO MUCH DRAG. We have a saying that nearly everyone you come across in Town is either a Drag Queen or a Real Estate Broker ….. or both. (Personally we prefer the former as they work so much harder to make the town such a fun place to be every summer.)
However even if you are not a pro and not booked to do a professional show …… you can always use Commercial Street as your own runway ro strut day and night. Every drag queen is made to feel so welcome.
Queerguru spoke with Makenzie Miller one of our very fav queens about the one problem he faces as a performer. He has had to acquire a massive closet of clothes which are so hard to squeeze in to the typical tiny condo here in town. So he has come up with the bright idea (he is not just a pretty face) of joining with PTown’s Annual Monument Sale when for one weekend the whole town is on Sale .
W caught uo with an harassed Mackenzie who was having a problem letting go of some of his fav outifts, and he gave us a wee preview of some og his items that will be on Sale. There will also wigs, costumes, shoes, props & jewelry from Hilarie Tamar, Delta Miles, Qya Cristál, Roxy Pops, Scarlett Strauss, Anita Cocktail, and many more! (P.s. Drag Queens come in all sizes and so do their costumes)
