Peccadillo Pictures, one of the UK’s largest LGBT movie distributors is hitting the road again with the second edition of POUTfest. From June to September it will take a collection of new UK + international queer movies to cinemas all around the country in towns where they rarely play LGBT films. The tour takes in Aberdeen to York with a lot of places in between, plus 20 venues in London as well.
It is a much smaller repertoire than last year, but it does include the heart-breaking documentary Holding The Man that we cannot stop raving about ; the latest excellent Boys of Film Compilation of Short movies that Peccadillo excel at, this one is called Time & Tied and includes Jake Graf’s rather wonderful Dawn; the intriguing gender bending Girls Lost; and Closet Monster one of the most imaginative coming-of-age movies we have seen for a long time. You can read our full reviews by clicking on the links, including ones for the remaining two movies i.e. Departure and The Girl King which are ….. how can we put this politely? ….as about as interesting as watching paint dry.

P.S. If you miss the tour, or live elsewhere in the world, then never fear as NETFLIX has just announced that it will be exclusively streaming ‘Holding The Man’ globally from August 1st 2016
