Night and Day will be a gallery-wide curated exhibition including 19 artists at opening on July 2nd 2021 at  Ptown’s  Albert Merola Gallery. Although not exclusively LGBTQ artists, it will feature work by John Waters, Jack Pierson, Lyle Ashton Harris, David Armstrong, Stephen Bron, and Matías Alvial among others. The last two being young queer artists who are really special.

A special event though is going to be a “show-within-a-show”: Night and Day – photographs by  “one of the major American photographers of the late twentieth century” Peter Hujar. This is following up on Merola’s 2019 Hujar show, Time it Was, which was held in the honor of the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising, this exhibition included iconic rare images and a uniquely Provincetown piece.

The new imagery will include Steven Varble, David Wojnarowicz, David Brintzenhofe, and a Dog in Provincetown Street among others!
