You don’t really need A-list stars to walk the runway to launch a new fashion collection, but it certainly doesn’t hurt. For PRADA’s FALL/WINTER 2022 show they enlisted Jeff Goldblum and nine other actors such as Kyle MacLachlan and Asa Butterfield . They lent themselves well to this collection from Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons which was a new take on “clothes that make people feel important,” as Prada put it — more pragmatic, quotidian, and neatly pointing to the future rather than referencing the past.
Even if we do not have pockets deep enough to buy from Prada’s mainline we can still totally fall in love with them and appreciate that these forward designs will greatly influence more accessible clothing collections down the line. Meanwhile, we can still cherish and admire such inspired design and the remarkable talents that produce them
