Its sometimes hard to keep track of teh whereabouts of San Francisco’s drag Grand Dame Peaches Christ. Last week she was in London breaking records as the first Drag Queen to perform in the city’s; very grand Royal Albert Hall that seats some 5700 British peeps. The occasion was the UK debut of her old-school variety Holiday Show with her co-host Edwin Outwater
Peaches was on top form and revived their traditional “Sleigh Ride” section as “Slave Ride” bringing on a strapping gentleman dressed like a Balenciaga teddy bear who proceeded to dominate and ride Peaches about the stage.
The show excelled with a variety of musically talented guests that included local favorite queen Le Gateau Chocolat ; The Fourth Choir gave a brilliantly queered-up “Twelve Days Of Christmas” featuring butt-plugs, vibrators and “fiiiiiiive c*ckrings; Jay Jay Revlon and two members of the UK House of Revlon danced spectacularly and musical theatre star Marisha Wallace singing ‘Somewhere’ from West Side Story with the BBC Concert Orchestra. an uplifting closing number, Shakin’ Stevens’ “Merry Christmas Everyone”.
Now La Peaches will be back on their home territory with the San Francisco version of their 2023 Holiday Gaity Show. Alongside their co-emcee Edwin Outwater Peaches will play host to guest stars Monet X-Change, Sister Roma, Jimmie Herrod, Nikola Printz, Marga Gomez, Stacey Stokes, Jocquese Whitfield, San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus and San Francisco Symphony.

Meanwhile some 3000 miles away in NY this Holiday Season they are continuing the centennial celebrations of one of the biggest gay icons ever.
